It's a bird. It's a plane. It's a Pontiac G8 Sport Truck. Sitting low on 19 inch rims, the front starts out like it's predecessor, then up up and away it swoops to the top then drops to a classic el camino bed.
With this half-breed sports car slash truck, Pontiac is clearly trying to stir up a little excitement and cater to both truck and sedan favorites, also sweeping up the moderates who think a car is too small, but truck is too big with a rough ride. Amazingly Pontiac might just be able to pull it off, with this classic concept, which will sport a 3500 pound towing capacity and a roomy 45 cubic square feet composite lined bed, but not straying from its sports sedan side it will house a 6.0-liter V-8, with a 0-60 time of just 5.4 seconds shifting with a six-speed automatic.
So if you want to further lower the jaws of bystanders add the Sports Package which will add to your excitement with 19" rims with 40-series tires and an optional two-tone trim with leather seats, but want to pocket a little cash don't worry about leaving any features behind loaded on this baby is side and curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, cruise control, power windows/locks/mirrors, and Bluetooth, along with a 230-watt, six-disc stereo.
