2009 Volkswagen Tiguan

The new 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan is 173.2 inches long and 72.8 inches wide, it has height of 66.5 inches. The new Tiguan’s platform is based on Rabbit or Golf platforms and shares some of its technicalities with compact Touran MPV which is sold only in Europe. As per the company officials the new Volkswagen is agile with its enhanced features which includes electro mechanical steering system and also includes a multi-link rear suspension. The new machine is being offered with a standard all wheel drive system later it would also be released with a front drive variant. The new machine is gasoline powertrain which is expanded lineup of its several engines, these includes gas turbos and clean diesels.

The new machine is capable of boosting the power rating of 200 horsepower and is a 2.0 liter turbo 4 with a direct injection. The new Volkswagen promises a clean Jetta lineup with a clean diesel power. The new Tiguan is going to be made available in the world market with front ends. The first 2 of its trims would be known by the names Trend and Fun and another with Sport and Style and it will have an entry angle of 18 degrees at the front. The 3rd would be known as Track and Field and consists of a revised nose which would be more suited for off road capabilities, the entry angle for the model stands at 28 degrees. The new Tiguan would be made available to markets across the world with front ends. The new safety feature in the machine consists of an Offroad mode which can activate a raft of alternative safety features just with the push of a dashboard, this very feature is being made available in the Track and Field car, the feature will automatically switch on the hill descent control and also includes hill climb assist that improves the throttle response allowing more accurate torque deliver and also boosts the braking on loose surfaces.

The new Rabbit based SUV features Panorama sunroof with a 4 motion all-wheel drive and also consists of a 6 speeds, manual or automatic transmission.
