Crossover gets a Spiky look – Ford Edge Sport

Ford is making efforts to give a new stunning look to its popular new cross over vehicle. Windy city is going to see the 4th version of the new Edge CUV at the annual show this year. The new Ford Edge sport is one of its kind, and is the first ever crossovers that is offering 22 inch wheel and tire combination with a 20- inchers which are standard in all the models. The look of the new model is rather aggressive giving a sharp signs of its strength and the quality it is offering. It’s a low profile is enhanced by a 40 series Pirellin Scorpion Zero rubber.

These are only few of some custom option packages which is the only starting point for the Edge Sport series. The Edge series model is followed up with an eight piece body kit including unique front air dam having an integrated fog lamp with a side skirts. The kit also includes lower door caps and also a rear skirt, all of these features are a part of body color. The exterior of the new machine gets completed with a smoke head and tail lamp lenses. It also contains special sport badges and chrome dual exhaust tips.

The first off Edge sports car placed at the Auto show is being show cased in a Sport Blue and they would also be available in 3 special paints which would be made available during the 2009 model year. The interiors of the new Sport edition contains dark gray leather seats made up of suede feel inserts giving comfort and relaxation to the users of the car and the stitching is done in contrast with a light gray color so that it enhances the look of the cabin giving an upscale feel. The interiors of the car also contains an edged metal look like Sport’s instrument panel.

As per the general manager of the Ford Division, John Felice, the new machine has been especially designed keeping in mind the choices of the customers that has an instant appeal that will make the potential customers, the actual customers who are looking to buy Crossovers having a sports custom look and feel. The new machine reflects the design that shows the growing popularity of personalization that people prefer in today’s generation.

The new Sporty model from Ford is going to be offered with various options which include Vista roof and infotainment system which are developed with a joint venture between Ford and Microsoft. This package is similar to other versions of the Edge model.
