The new Acura RDX is a 5 seater passenger vehicle, it is smaller in size than its sibling MDX. The new machine is based on Honda CR-V’s platform and has super features like it has all wheel drive system which is available in MDX crossover machines. The new rock machine rides with a fully independent front and rear suspension which gives better handling than truck based SUVs. The new machine is a turbo charged machine having 2.3 liter VTEC 4 cylinder which produces 240 horsepower and 260 pound of torque.

The new machine has a 5 speed automatic transmission having F1 style sequential sportshift paddle shifters. Other features of the new vehicle have traction and stability control with anti-lock brakes and also side and curtain airbags which are standard features. The doors of the new machine are different then it’s earlier model, and has similar roofline to its earlier model. The new machine also boosts of an Acura’s navigation system having real time traffic reports and for entertainment purposes it also has ELS DVD Audio surround sound stereo system.

The new machine is going to be assembled in Ohio and is amongst small and premium crossover segments. The new Acura has a responsive handling with powerful turbocharged engine and has good crash test scores. It also has an auto dimming rearview mirror and memory positioning for the driver’s seat, it has Bluetooth connectivity also. The new feature Super Handling All wheel drive is capable of adjusting torque output which maximizes handling and traction, it has firmly tuned suspension and big tires and wheels.

The 2008 Acura has got great body styling with trim levels and various options, it’s a small, 5 passenger vehicle which is truly luxurious in nature. The standard model has an 18 inch alloy wheels with xenon headlights, heated front seats, power accessories and driver seat memory card. For entertainment purposes it includes 6 disc CD/MP3 changer, steering wheel mounted audio controls satellite radio, etc.

When the machine is on, the 5 speed automatic transmission, power is sent to all 4 wheels through SH-AWD system. The new RDX can accelerate up to 60 mph in flat 6.8 seconds, this is record breaking quickest time ever required to start up any engine. The new machine gives EPA estimate of 17 mpg/city and 22 mpg/highway, the new machine can tow up to 1,500 pounds. The safety features include front, side airbags with head protecting side curtain airbags having a rollover sensor with active front head restraints and an anti-lock brakes along with the brake assist.
