The new safety features in Acadia!

The new GMC Acadia has fewer changes than its earlier model, the machine is in its 2nd year of glory. The new trims for the models are SLE and SLT trims, all of the new series models come standard with 3.6 liter V-6 engine boosting the power of 275 horsepower rating, it has a 6 speed automatic transmission. The machines are available in either front or all wheel drive. The new machine’s all wheel drive is the updated version of its earlier versions and is now being named as Active On Demand. The new machine has 3rd row seating arrangement and the seating capacity for eight passengers. The new machine features ultra modern features and amenities for the people wanting style with comfort, the model has smart slide 2nd row seating system giving access to the passenger for the 3rd row seats.

When the 2nd and 3rd row seats of the machine are folded, they offer 116.9 cubic feet of cargo space and it also offers 19.7 cubic feet behind the 3rd row seats while in an upright position. Other standard optional instrument includes intermittent rear wiper, heated outside mirrors, power liftgate, ultrasonic parking assist, extended range remote vehicle starting system, power operated tilt and slide sunroof having rear skylight, extended range remote vehicle starting system, heated windshield washer fluid. The vehicle also includes DVD based navigation system and it also includes Bose 5.1 Surround sound Audio system, the new machine also has an Acadia exclusive heads up display that is HUD which has project instrument readouts.

All of the new Acadia models come equipped with a standard seat mounted side impact airbags available for front seat passengers, for safety purposes it also contains full row curtain airbags, other safety features include GM’s StabiliTrack stability control and traction control, the system is available with rollover mitigation technology. The machine also consists of tire pressure monitoring system. The new machine of 2008 features Panic Brake Assist feature which helps in maximum brake pressure helping during emergencies.

Other minor changes in the new model includes 2nd row console and also captain’s chairs options are available. The new machine also includes standard XM satellite radio and it also contains refined traction and stability control. For easy navigation it also offers a back up camera with new improved navigation system. The new vehicle is a 4 door vehicle, in all it is available in 6 trims that ranges from SLE1 FWD to SLT2 AWD model.

The standard SLE1 FWD comes equipped with 3.6 liter V-6 engine boosting the power of 275 horsepower capable of achieving 16 mpg/city and 24 mpg/highway. The other SLT 2WD model comes equipped with a standard 3.6 liter V-6 engine producing the power of 275 horsepower capable of achieving 16 mpg/city and 22 mpg/highway. The machine comes with a 6 speed automatic transmission having an overdrive which is standard facility available on both the available models. The new vehicle offers smooth ride giving you responsive handling of the vehicle, the new crossover utility vehicle offers high seating position similar to that of traditional truck based sport utility vehicle.
There is ample availability of cargo space inside the vehicle. The interiors of the new machine offer 2 front bucket seats and also different seating configurations which can accommodate seating capacity for 8 passengers.
